We're glad to announce the return of the Capital Cabal luncheon roundtable discussions on May 5, 2008. We plan to meet regularly to discuss topics and issues in the intimate setting of The City Club at Franklin Square, Washington, D.C. We're proponants of "learning by example", and as such are glad to have the company of customer relationship management (CRM) expert Paul Ward to lead our first session.
The topic of this first event is Top 10 CRM Mistakes: What to Fix to Grow Your Organization. We will discuss what non-profit, for-profit and professional association organizations need to avoid in order to implement a successful CRM strategy. Organized around the principles of good customer strategy and peppered with cases of famous successes and stunning disasters, the presentation is designed to be revealing, useful and entertaining.
Companies increasingly are turning to CRM and better customer strategies, because they can lead to more profit, increased marketshare and better motivated employees. As essential as CRM is during a strong economy, it becomes critical during challenging economic times. CRM in effect becomes a platform for improved loyalty even when everyone in your sector is under pressure.
Paul Ward is a D.C. based business strategy consultant who focuses on customer relationship management (CRM) and customer experience management (CEM) for growth-focused enterprises. Paul is also a Vice President of the CRM Association, a national non-profit of CRM practitioners, vendors, analysts and thought leaders. Paul has lead management strategy seminars in Asia, Europe and North America and is currently partnering with the Greater China executive training program focusing on CRM, CEM and Web 2.0.
Paul's clients include the American Institute of Architects, U.S. Department of Commerce's Commercial Law Development Program, the World Bank, the IFC, the Carnegie Institution for Science, Levick Strategic Communications, the DEA, Axentis and others. He has lectured on many topics, including Internet trends, social networks and the impact of web communications on the economy and globalization at Cornell University. He is a frequent contributor to Global Link, a publication of the American Society of Association Executives.
